As a freshman (2015): Had an outstanding rookie season for the cross country team, winning three of the seven meets he ran…  Ran his best 8K at the UCF Cross Country Invitational (25.11.7)… During the indoor track season, part of the second-place team in the men’s distance medley that took second place at the Winston-Salem State Open… Best race times were 8:38.59 in the 3,000-meter run and 14:51.24 in the 5,000-meter run

Prior to FIU: Ran track for two years at Miami Sunset High School... 2013 First Team All-Dade cross country and 2013 All-State cross country athlete... Four times he was a state qualifier... Holds the men's 3200K school record (9:31)... Two-time district champion (2012, 2013) and 2013 6MAC Champion

Personal:  Born on May 30, 1996... Son of Maury Gonzalez... Was also recruited by FGCU, USF and FAU.. Majoring in information technology.
