As a junior (2015): Named Co-Athlete of the Week following his dominant performance at the UAB Blazer Invite to open indoor season… Shattered the program’s all-time indoor shot put record with an 18.01-meter toss… At the time, it was the 13
th-best in the nation… The throw also set a new meet record for the UAB Blazer Invite (former record was 17.47 meters)… Followed that performance with his second-consecutive first place finish in the shot put at the UNC Open… Posted back-to-back first place wins during the outdoor season at the USF Triangular and UCF Invitational… Finished fourth in the league in the shot put at the Conference USA Outdoor Track and Field Championships and qualified for the NCAA East Regionals in the event.
