Prior to FIU: Played two years of baseball for head coach Lazaro Llanes at Archbishop Carroll, compiling an 8-3 career record...went 2-2 as a senior in 2004 and 6-1 as a junior.

 

Personal: Born April 20, 1986...is the son of Ignacio and Maria Martinez...has two brothers,  teammate and fraternal twin, Danny, and older brother, Eric...majoring in accounting and finance...member of the FIU Accounting Association.
