Biography

One of four baseball student-athletes to make the 2007 Fall Dean’s List with a grade-point average above 3.5...member of the 2006-07 Sun Belt Academic Honor Roll for maintaining a GPA above 3.0 for the school year.

 

2007: Made 18 appearances in relief and went 1-2 with a 6.75 ERA...struck out 18 and walked 17 in 30.2 innings, giving up 23 earned runs...struck out a career-high four batters against Miami (4/11)...threw a career-long 4.0 innings of relief against Harvard (3/28) and Miami (4/11)...gave up two runs on two hits with a walk in an inning of relief in his final appearance of the season against Middle Tennessee (5/12)...charged with the loss against Florida A&M (5/7) after giving up a run on three hits...gave up five hits and three runs, one earned, in two-thirds of an inning of work against South Alabama (5/5)...gave up two earned runs in a third of an inning against Arkansas-Little Rock (4/20)...yielded a run in 2.0 innings of relief with two walks and a strikeout against Louisiana at Monroe (4/14)...struck out four and gave up three runs and four hits in 4.0 innings of relief against Miami (4/11)...pitched one scoreless inning of relief at Arkansas State (4/7)...gave up three runs, two earned in 3.0 innings of relief against Miami (4/4)...touched for a career-worst six runs on six hits against Louisiana-Lafayette (3/31)...gave up one hit with three strikeouts in 4.0 scoreless innings against Harvard (3/28)...retired both batters he faced at Troy (3/23)...gave up two runs on one hit and two walks in 1.2 innings of relief against Western Kentucky (3/17)...held Manhattan (3/13) to one run on three hits in 3.0 innings of work...charged with his first career loss against Wagner (3/4), giving up three earned runs on two hits in 1.1 inning of relief...gave up an unearned run in 2.0 innings of relief against Rhode Island (2/25)...earned his first career win in the second game of the doubleheader against Rhode Island (2/24), giving up one hit in 1.1 scoreless innings of a 12-11 win...made his career debut against Missouri (2/9) and gave up  two runs, one earned, on two hits with two walks and two strikeouts.

 

Prior to FIU: Played four years of baseball for Israel Camacho at Coral Gables HS...6A-5A Third Team All-Dade selection as a senior.
