2017-18 (Sophomore): Competed in 13 meets on the year...Ran a personal best in the 1500 (4:15.63) at the USF Bulls Invitational...paced fifth at the Miami Hurricane Collegiate Invitational...set a personal best in the final meet of the outdoor season in the 800-meter (1:55.46)

2016-17 (Freshman): Competed in 14 meets on the year... Ran a personal-best in the 8K (30:43.9) at the Cross Country Conference USA Championship (10/29)... He placed in the top-10 on four occasions, including ninth place finishes and personal-bests in the 1000-meter (2:43.39) at the Blazer Invite (1/13) and in the 800-meter (1:59.27) at the USF Invite (4/21).

Personal: Majoring in Political Science...career ambitions including practicing Law...member of the Student Athlete Leadership Council...son of Plutarco Baez and Luz Tejeda...chose FIU because of the positive environment and staff
