Biography

2008: Played in seven games as a pinch-hitter and defensive replacement... Recorded three at-bats. 

Prior to FIU: Earned four letters in baseball at Belen Jesuit for head coach Tony Meilan...named team MVP in 2005 and 2006... Second Team All-Dade selection as a senior, hitting .400 with three home runs and 27 RBI...hit .480 with 30 RBI as a junior...helped lead Belen to the 2003 state championship game, where it finished as the runner-up, and the 2004 District Championship...involved in numerous extracurricular activities that included the Quill & Scroll Society, writing for the school newspaper his junior and senior years and serving as the Student Council Sports Advisor as a senior.

Personal: Born March 12, 1988...son of Armando and Mireya Garcia...has a younger sister, Kristina...political science major with aspirations of going to law school after college.
