Freshman (2006): Made 22 starts and threw six complete games in her first year of collegiate pitching... Struck out a season-high eight batters on two occasions... The first was a five-inning complete-game win over Florida A&M (3/24)... The other came just two appearances later, a complete game, two-hit shutout of Sun Belt rival North Texas... Held opposing hitters to a .253 batting average against, including a team-best .205 batting average against left handed opponents.

Prior to FIU: Named All-State as a senior in 2004 by the Colorado High School Coaches Association, in addition to garnering 4A Northern Conference Player of the Year honors... A two-time Honorable Mention All-Colorado selection (2003-04) by The Denver Post and Rocky Mountain News, and a two-time All-4A Northern Conference selection (2003-04)... Claimed Loveland (Colo.) All-Area Player of the Year award from the Loveland Reporter-Herald as a junior in 2003... Also played two years of varsity basketball for the Mountain Lions.

Personal: Born February 10, 1987... Daughter of Kerry and Dorma Eastman... Has one brother, Garrett (17), and one sister, Kellie (13)... Mother competed in track & field for the University of Northern Colorado... Enjoys movies and hanging out with friends... Provided care to children ages six and under at the McKee Children’s Center, among other volunteer activities while in high school... Majoring in elementary education with aspirations of teaching kindergarten and coaching softball.
