Coach Gwydir on Tiffany: “Tiffany was late addition and a pleasant surprise to our team this fall. She has already proven to be a top-flight pitcher through her success at Indian River Community College. I expect Tiffany to make major contributions this season, not only on the mound, but also at the plate. As a pitcher, she has one of the best rise balls we have ever had here, plus she possesses tremendous power at the plate.”
Indian River Community College: Led the Lady Pioneers to the state and national championships in 2002, earning MVP honors in each tournament... Two-time first-team National Junior College Athletic Association All-American, Florida Community College Activities Association All-State and All-Southern Conference honoree... Participated on the NJCAA All-Star team at the 2003 Canada Cup.
High School: Three-time first-team All-Dade selection (1999-01) in addition to garnering second-team accolades in 1998... Picked up all-state honors twice... Named team MVP for the Eagles all four years.
Personal: Born April 4, 1983 in Miami, Fla... Daughter of Johnny and Theresa Ore... Has one sister, Ashley (18)... Chose FIU over interest from Florida Atlantic, Furman, New Mexico, Auburn, Alabama, Barry and St. Thomas... Enjoys spending time with family and playing volleyball... Majoring in liberal studies with aspirations of becoming a teacher.
