Biography

2007 NCAA East Regional qualifier (400H, 4x1)... Two-time NCAA Mideast Regional qualifier (400H, 4x1)... Three-time All-Sun Belt Conference

 

2008 Indoors: Captured All-Sun Belt honors after season-best times in both the 200 and 400 meters... Finished third in the 200 at the conference meet with a 24.33, and second in the 400 with a 55.12... Also scored for FIU in the DMR as the second leg en route to a seventh-place 12:48.58... Was the second leg of a Sun Belt-best 12:06.08 DMR which led to a third place showing at the New Balance Collegiate Invitational... Top collegiate finisher in the 400 meters with a 56.88 at the LSU Purple Tiger Invitational, one of her four top-five finishes in the 400 on the season... Ran once in the 60 meters, a team-best 7.83 at the LSU Purple Tiger Invitational which was good for 18th.

 

2007 Outdoors: Qualified for Regionals as the anchor leg of the 4x100 relay team, making the mark with a third place finish (among collegians) at the Miami Elite Invitational with a 45.56 (April 14), the third-fastest performance in the Sun Belt for the season... Also qualified, along with teammate Naim Yisrael, in the 400 meter hurdles where her top performance of 1:00.02 was 64th nationally and fourth in the Sun Belt.  It was one of three regional qualifying marks for Boston in the 400 hurdles.  Placed second (among collegians) and third overall with that time at the Florida Relays in Gainesville on April 6... Her other two qualifying marks were third-place finishes; a 1:00.14 at the Miami Elite Invitational (April 14) and a 1:00.55 at the Sun Belt Championships (May 13)... Also placed third as the second leg of the 4x100 relay at the Sun Belt meet... FIU’s top performer in the 400 meters, just missing out on a regional qualifying mark at the Hurricane Invitational (March 17) with a 54.70 (nine-hundredths off the qualifying standard), which was good for fourth place and was the fifth best performance in the Sun Belt... Ran a season-best 24.22 in the 200 meters at the Hurricane Invitational, the ninth-best performance in the Sun Belt, to finish eighth among collegians.

 

2007 Indoors: Captured All-Sun Belt accolades in three events, including being the anchor leg in FIU’s winning 4x400 meter relay... Also at the SBC Championships, placed second in the 200 meters with a 24.74, and third in the 400 in a season-best time of 55.31... Ran a season-best 24.70 at the Florida Intercollegiate, coming in third place.  Won the 400 meter race at the Florida Intercollegiate with a time of 56.43... Came in second at the Husky Classic in the 400, running a 55.34 which was her second best of the season.

 

At Jackson State: Competed in track & field for two seasons with the Tigers... Earned Freshman of the Year and All-Southwestern Athletic Conference honors... Two-time SWAC champion in the 400-meter hurdles and 4x400-meter relay and two-time NCAA Mideast Regional Championship qualifier in both events... Posted personal-best times of 1:00.23 in the 400 hurdles, 56.76 seconds in the 400 meters (indoor) and 24.68 seconds in the 200 meters (outdoor)... Named to the Dean’s List.

 

Prep: Competed in track & field and basketball for four years and in cross country for three at Homestead Senior... Four-time track team MVP and recipient of the Coaches Award in cross country... Posted top times of 43.00 seconds in the 300-meter hurdles and 55.00 seconds in the 400 meters... Two-time Defensive Player of the Year, team MVP and Bronco Award honoree in basketball, averaging 12 points, 10 rebounds and six assists per game.

 

Personal: Born October 6, 1985, in Miami... Parents are Jeffery Green and Deneen Boston... Has four siblings, William (24), Tranese (19), Jonathan (8) and Meyah (5)... Nickname is B... Off the track, enjoys rapping, writing and playing basketball... A member of the National Honor Society at Homestead... Also recruited by schools such as Florida, USF and UCF... A criminal justice major, with plans to attend graduate school for forensics.
