2008 Indoors: Broke her own school record in the shot put in the season-opening LSU Purple Tiger Invitational with a 15.16 to capture the title... Also won the title at the Sun Belt Championships with a 14.25 meter shot put... Had one other top-five finish in the shot put, a fifth place 14.49 meter toss at the Tom Jones Memorial Invitational... Just missed scoring in the weight throw with a 15.05 meter toss for ninth place at the SBC meet... Threw a season-best 15.29 in the weight throw for seventh place at the Tom Jones Memorial Invitational. 2007 Outdoors: Competed in the discus as one of FIU’s three national qualifiers in Sacramento, Calif. after she placed sixth in the event at the East Regional with a 50.52-meter toss, her second-best of the season... Broke her own school records in the discus (52.36 meters ? Golden Knight Twilight, April 28), shot put (14.98 meters ? Hurricane Inivitational, March 17) and the hammer throw (52.39 meters ? Sun Belt Championships, May 13)... Her discus throw ranked 20th nationally and first in the Sun Belt heading into Regionals, and was used to get her an at-large bid into Nationals... It was good for first place at the Golden Knight Twilight, which was her second discus title of the year after winning at the Disney Invitational on March 23... Also captured the shot put title at the Golden Knight Twilight with a throw of 14.18, her fourth-best performance of the year... Was named Sun Belt Women’s Field Athlete of the Week on May 1 after her performance at the Golden Knight Twilight... Her top shot put throw ranked 56th nationally going into Regionals and second in the Sun Belt, while her top hammer performance was third in the conference... At the Sun Belt Championships (May 11-13), placed third in the hammer (52.39), fourth in the shot put (14.49) and fifth in the discus (45.24)... Had a total of three throws in the shot put that were Regional qualifying marks... Made a 35.24 meter toss in the javelin at the Hurricane Invitational (March 17). 2007 Indoors: Posted school-records in both the weight throw and shot put at the Sun Belt Championships... Claimed all-conference accolades with her 14.21 meter shot put to place third at the SBC meet, while her 16.25 meter weight throw was good for fourth... Broke the school shot put record two previous times during the season, a 12.71 meter toss at the Florida Intercollegiate, and a 14.07 meter shot put at the Gator Invitational, which was good for fifth place. 2006 Outdoors: FIU’s “Queen of the Field” recorded a pair of all-conference performances at the 2006 Sun Belt Championships, including claiming her first title... Won the discus with a throw of 141 feet, 11 inches, and was runner-up in the hammer with a school-record 164-foot, 8-inch performance... Also scored for the Golden Panthers and set yet another school record with a throw of 43 feet, 9¼ inches to place fifth in the shot put... Had five school-record performances in three events this season... At the Miami Elite Invitational, recorded an FIU- and Sun Belt- season-best 163-foot, 2-inch mark in the discus. 2006 Indoors: Repeatedly broke the school record in the weight throw, culminating with a season- and FIU-best throw of 53 feet, 1 inch to finish third at the SBC Championships and earn all-conference recognition... Was also third among collegians in the event at Boston University’s Valentine Invitational... Posted a season-best mark of 41 feet, 3 inches in the shot put. 2005 Outdoors: set the school record in the discus with an NCAA Regional qualifying and personal-best throw of 160 feet for a win at the Golden Knights Twilight... Earned all-conference honors, placing third in the event at the Sun Belt Championships with a 141-foot, 10-inch performance... Posted the team’s top performances in the shot put and hammer, with a season-best throw of 36 feet, 6¾ inches in the shot put and a season-best 128-foot, 10-inch mark in the hammer. 2005 Indoors: finished fifth at the Terrier Invitational with a season-best 40-foot, 10¼-inch mark in the shot put. Prep: A multi-sport athlete at Dr. Michael Krop, competing in basketball for four years, track & field for two, and badminton, volleyball and tennis for one... Named Athlete of the Year and track team MVP as a senior... Posted then-personal-best marks of 132 feet, 7½ inches in the discus and 43 feet in the shot put. Personal: Born July 23, 1986, in Miami...
