2007 Outdoors: Qualified for Regionals as the first leg of the 4x100 relay team, making the mark with a third place finish (among collegians) at the Miami Elite Invitational with a 45.56 (April 14) , the third-fastest performance in the Sun Belt for the season... Ran her top time in the 100 meters in the prelims of the Hurricane Invite, clocking in at 11.98 on March 17... Ran a 24.61 in her only 200 meter performance of the season to finish 12th among collegians at the Disney Invitational (March 24)... Ran the anchor leg of FIU’s 4x200 meter relay at the Penn Relays (April 27), crossing the line in 1:38.32.
2007 Indoors: Earned All-Sun Belt honors with her third-place performance at the SBC Championships, running a 7.11 in the 55 meter dash. Posted a season-best 7.07 in the prelims, which was fifth... Ran three times in the 200 meters with her best time coming at the conference meet, a 25.50 which was 22nd... Placed 11th at the Florida Intercollegiate with a 25.89.
2006 Outdoors: Earned third all-conference honors as the lead leg of the 4x100-meter relay that finished runner-up at the Sun Belt Championships in a season-best and NCAA regionally-qualifying 45.52 seconds... Relay also placed second at the FSU Relays and went on to finish 10th at the NCAA Regionals... Individually, posted a season-best time of 12.14 seconds in the 100 meters at the Miami Elite Invitational, and clocked in at 12.16 seconds at the Sun Belt Championships.
2006 Indoors: Turned in the squad’s second-best performances in both the 55 and 200 meters... Posted a season-best time of 7.14 seconds in the 55 and finished third among collegians at Boston University’s Valentine Invitational... At the same meet, placed among the top-10 collegians in the 200 meters with a season-best performance of 25.03 seconds.
2005 Outdoors: led off the 4x100-meter relay en route to All-Sun Belt honors with a third-place finish at the conference championships in 45.90 seconds... Relay finished runner-up among collegians at the Gatorade Invitational in a season-best and NCAA Regional qualifying 45.42 seconds... 4x1 placed eighth at NCAA Regionals.
2005 Indoors: ran the first leg of the 4x400-meter relay, leading the team to a runner-up finish at the Sun Belt Championships in 3:52.22 to pick up her first all-conference honors... Also finished runner-up at the St. Valentine Invitational in a season-best 3:50.04... The team’s second-fastest performer in the 55 meters, recording two top-five finishes... Ran a season-best 7.19 seconds in the 55 at the Gator Invitational.
Prep: Participated in track & field at Holy Name Convent, earning Most Outstanding Athlete honors... Three-time Vietrix Lodorum honoree... In 2004, competed at the Carifta Games and World Junior Championships.
Personal: Born August 12, 1986, in San Juan, Trinidad... Parents are John and Charlene Francis... Has two siblings, Jurnelle (18) and Jurelle (13)... Jurnelle also competes on the FIU track & field team... Off the track, enjoys reading, drawing and shopping... A construction management major.
