2008 Indoors: Placed 12th among collegians with a 2:20.52 in the 800 meters at the Tom Jones Memorial Invitational.

2007 Outdoors: Finished 10th among collegians at the Disney Invitational (March 23) in the 800 meters with a personal season-best time of 2:20.44... Placed 10th in the 800 meter prelims at the Sun Belt Conference Championships (May 12) with a time of 2:18.69.

2007 Indoors: Garnered All-Sun Belt honors after running the third leg of FIU’s second-place DMR team en route to a time of 12:29.91 at the conference meet... Also ran the third leg in the event at the Gator Invitational, helping the Golden Panthers finish sixth with a time of 12:36.39... FIU’s second-best performer in the 800, running a 2:21.81 for a 12th place finish at the SBC Championships.

Prep: Competed in track & field throughout high school, clocking a personal-best time of 2:16 in the 800 meters... In 2004, earned Excellence in Academic Achievement distinction... Ran a personal-best 56.9-second split in the 4x400-meter relay at the Southern Games in 2005... Competed in club track with the Memphis Pioneers Athletic Club from 1999-2006... Also participated in swimming.

Personal: Born January 1, 1988... Parents are Clyde Edwards and Patricia Phillip-Edwards... Has one brother, Keron (25)... Cousin, Jameel Wilson, competed in track & field at the University of New Orleans... Named to the Sun Belt Academic Honor Roll in 2006-07... An economics major, with aspirations to attend graduate school and work with the United Nations.
