All-Sun Belt Conference

 

2008 Indoors: Competed in the sprint hurdles and in jumps... Scored for FIU with a fifth place finish in the high jump at the Sun Belt Championships, leaping a season-best 1.63 meters... Also finished 12th at the conference meet in her lone long jump of the season, clearing 5.41 meters... Placed 16th with an 8.83 in the 55 hurdles at the SBC meet and 12th at the LSU Purple Tiger Invitational with a 9.30 60 hurdle time.

 

2007 Outdoors: Scored for FIU and finished sixth at the Sun Belt Championships (May 12) with a 1.65 meter high jump... Matched that height on two previous occasions at the Hurricane Invitational (March 17) and the Miami Elite Invitational (April 14)... Won the “B” section at the Florida Relays (April 6) with a 1.63 meter high jump... Finished second in the heptathlon at the Hurricane Invitational (March 15-16) with a score of 4481, and then bettered that score with a 4713 at the Sun Belt Championships (May 11-13) to finish fifth... Finished third in the long jump at the Golden Knight Twilight (April 28) with a season-long 5.43 meter leap... FIU’s only competitor of the season in the 100 hurdles, running a 14.80 to finish eighth among collegians at the Miami Elite Invitational (April 14) for her top performance... Ran a season-best 2:40.10 in the 800 meters at the Golden Knight Twilight on April 28, finishing 23rd among collegians... Threw 11.31 meters in the shot put at the Golden Knight Twilight to finish ninth, and 31.38 meters in the javelin to place seventh at the Miami Elite Invitational (April 14).

 

2007 Indoors: Leaped a season-best 1.68 meters in the high jump in an All-Sun Belt performance at the conference meet, which was good for second place... FIU’s top performer in both sprint hurdle events... Ran 8.85 in the 55 hurdles at the Gator Invitational to place 21st, and a 9.61 in team’s only 60 hurdle performance to come in fourth place in a preliminary heat at the Husky Classic... Placed sixth in the pentathlon at the Sun Belt meet with 3,242 points.

 

2006 Outdoors: Scored for the Golden Panthers at the Sun Belt Championships with season-best performances in the javelin (106 feet) and heptathlon (4,212 points)... Team’s top high jumper, finishing runner-up at the Florida State Relays, tying her season-best mark of 5 feet, 5 inches... Placed third among collegians in the high jump at the Golden Knights Twilight Invitational... Turned in a top-five finish in the 100-meter hurdles at the same meet.

 

2006 Indoors: Posted the team’s top performances in the 55-meter hurdles and high jump... Tied for second place in the high jump at the Valentine Invitational with a season-best leap of 5 feet, 6 inches and posted another top-five finish among collegians at the Gator Invitational... Scored for the Golden Panthers with a sixth-place finish in the event at the Sun Belt Championships... Recorded a season-best time of 8.70 seconds in the 55-meter hurdles at the SBC Championships... Also competed in the long jump and shot put.

 

Prep: Competed in track & field for three years and in basketball for two at Southfield... Earned three varsity letters in track & field and was named Field MVP as a junior and senior... Recorded personal-best marks of 15.00 seconds in the 100-meter hurdles, 50.38 seconds in the 300-meter hurdles, 5 feet, 7 inches in the high jump and 16 feet, 5 inches in the long jump... Spent freshman year at Académie Michèle-Provost in Montreal, Canada.

 

Personal: Born December 9, 1987, in Montreal, Canada... Parents are Serge Louissaint and Frida Cantave Cadet... Has two siblings, Bilor (28) and Freddy (25)... Nicknames include L-Boogie and L-Boogz... Off the track, enjoys writing poetry, singing and playing basketball... Graduated form Southfield with honors, and was a member of the National Honor Society, Interact and French Club... Also recruited by Florida, Miami, Michigan State and Western Michigan... A health sciences major, with aspirations of becoming an athletic trainer or physician’s assistant.
