Prior to FIU: Graduated from Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Fla., where he was a career .354 hitter with five home runs… Once went 3 for 4 with six RBI in a district game against Coral Gables his senior year… He was also a free safety and a kick returner on the football team. 

Personal: Born on November 29, 1993 in Coral Springs, Fla… Son of Leah and James Dowell… Majoring in hospitality management.
