Steven McFadden

FIU's Rita Buck-Crockett announced the addition of Steve McFadden to the beach volleyball staff. McFadden for the 2020 season. McFadden joins the staff as an assistant coach.

The 2020 FIU beach squad went 8-1 before the remainder of the season was cancelled to the COVID-19 outbreak. Two-time AVCA All-American duo Margherita Bianchin and Federica Frasca were undefeated on court one during the abbreviated season.

McFadden came to the Sunshine State after serving as the head beach volleyball coach at Laguna Beach High School in California since 2016. He planned practices and directed the entire Breaker Beach volleyball program during his time at the helm for the Hawks.

He also served as the coach and administrator for the Tamarack Beach Volleyball Club, beginning in 2013. During his time there, McFadden trained a wide variety of beach volleyball players, ranging from collegiate athletes to beginners. He focused on improving technical ability, mental toughness, fitness and strategy during his practices.

McFadden received his Bachelor of Science degree in management from The College of New Jersey in 2011.
