Prior to FIU: While at Indian River CC (2001-03) garnered All-American accolades 18 times...Competed on Indian River CC’s National Championship teams in 2002 and 2003...Under coach Murilo Santos, was the team’s Most Valuable Player at Fecap in Sao Paulo, Brazil in 1997 and 1998.
Personal: Born April 17, 1980...swam for 17 years before attending FIU...was also recruited by Hawaii, Southern Illinois, and Gardner Webb...participated on Team Orlando’s 1999 “Y” National Championship team...plans to swim professionally or get a job in sports medicine after college...hobbies include going to the beach, surfing and watching movies...has two sisters, Danielle (25) and Stephanie (19), and one brother, Jonathan (12)...daughter of Jaakov Fuhrman and Glacy Lucki...sports medicine major.
