2004-05: Served as co-captain with Tiffany Haynes...competed in six different events, including the 50-, 100-, 200-, 500- and 800-yard freestyle and the 100 and 200-yard backstroke, plus served an integral role in the Golden Panthers’ relay teams...clocked the team’s second quickest mark in four events including the 500, 800, 1000 and 1650-yard freestyle...established new personal best by three seconds in the in the 500-yard freestyle (5:17.45) at the Sun Belt Conference Championships (2/17)...nearly made the consolation finals in the 200-yard freestyle (2:02.31) at the Sun Belt Conference Championships (2/17).
2003-04: At the Sun Belt Conference Championships (2/12-2/14), placed fifth with the 800-freestyle relay team, ninth in the 100 backstroke (1:02.07) and tenth in the 200 backstroke (2:14.85)...seventh in the 200 backstroke (2:15.60) at the Cougar Invitational (11/20).
Prior to FIU: In 2002-03, competed at LSU in freestyle and butterfly events...lettered all four years at Our Lady of Lourdes Academy (Miami, Fla.)...set team records in the 200-yard medley and 400-yard freestyle medley...placed second and fourth in those events, respectively, as well as eighth in the 100-butterfly and 12th in the 200-freestyle at the state championships as a senior.
Personal: Born December 1, 1983...daughter of Jose and Peggy Vivó...both siblings competed in swimming in college, brother, Jeff, currently swims at Florida State and sister, Kristin, was a swimmer at Miami...business management major.
