Sophomore -- 2010-11: Fourth-best time on the team in the 50 breast (34.21 at the FIU Invitational)... Second-best time on the team in the 100 breast with a 1:09.36 against Florida Gulf Coast, and in the 200 breast with a 2:27.28 against Miami and Central Connecticut State... Teamed with Danielle Sneir, Yesica Rojas and Mariangela Macchiavello in the 200 medley relay for a time of 1:50.96 against Florida State and Florida Atlantic. The time is the third-best on the team this season... Season-best time on the team in the 400 IM (4:47.85 against FAU/Nova).

Freshman -- 2009-10: Swam a 4:39.04 in the 400 IM, a 1:09.12 in the 100 breast, and a 2:26.98 in the 200 breast at the Sun Belt Conference Championships... Placed second in the 200 IM (2:16.40) against St. Leo on 2/2... Top FIU finisher in the 200 free (2:05.10) against Florida Gulf Coast on 1/23; third in the 400 IM (4:54.84)... FIU's top finisher in the 1000 free (11:02.92) in meet against Florida Atlantic, Clemson and Northwestern on 12/18... Second in the 200 breast (2:29.90) against FAU on 10/17... Finished fourth in the 400 IM (4:46.64) at the Phil Hansell Meet on 10/10.   

Prior to FIU: Attended Seminole High School where she won an MVP award and received All-America recognition ... has club swimming experience with West Florida Lighting Aquatics.

Personal: Born September 27, 1990 ... daughter of Bill and Ruth Metka, both of whom played tennis professionally ... has three siblings, Katie, Alex and Zac ... majoring in hospitality management.
