One of three seniors and will provide depth in the freestyle events.

2006-07: Competed in the 50-, 100-, 200- and 500-yard freestyle and 100-yard breaststroke...shaved 13 seconds off her 200 free time throughout the season...placed sixth (5:43.78) in the 500-yard freestyle against Western Kentucky (10/26)...placed second (1:18.37) in the 100 breaststroke versus St. Leo’s (1/27).

2005-06: Competed in the 50-, 100-, 200-, 500- and 1000-yard freestyle and the 100-yard butterfly...first leg of the second place 200-yard freestyle relay against Miami (1/21)...clocked a season-best time in the 1000 freestyle (11:41.86) against New Orleans (1/26).

2004-05: Recorded a pair of then personal-best times in the 50- (27.38) and 100-yard freestyle (58.86) during the preliminary rounds of the Sun Belt Conference Championships (2/17)...trimmed her best time by nearly four seconds over the course of the season in the 100 freestyle...finished second in the 500-yard freestyle (5:51.95) and swam a leg of the 400-yard freestyle relay in the dual meet versus UM (10/16)...runner-up in the 200-yard freestyle (2:09.50) in the dual meet against Princeton (10/29).

Prior to FIU: A participant in the 2003 Junior Olympics in Plantation, Fla....competed at the 2002 International Age Group Invitational in the 100- and 200-yard freestyle and the 50-and 100-yard breaststroke.

Personal: Born April 29, 1986...daughter of Antonio and Nicole Segovia...named to the Sun Belt Conference Academic Honor Roll in 2004-05...civil engineering major.
