Dear members of the university community,
 
Our FIU football home opener game against the Indiana Hoosiers is on Thursday, Sept. 1 at 7:30 p.m. at FIU Stadium. To purchase tickets, please click here or visit the University Credit Union Box Office in the R. Kirk Landon Fieldhouse, located on the west end of FIU stadium.
 
We would like to share the following information to help you plan:
 
Tailgating
Tailgating starts at 3:30 p.m. For guidelines, a campus tailgating map, or to reserve your spot, please click here.  
 
Parking Lot Closures
Lot 6 and 24 (east of stadium) and Lot 7 (west of stadium) will be closed for tailgating, beginning at 8 a.m. on Thursday, Sept. 1.
 
Vehicles that are still parked in these areas after 8 a.m. will be relocated to Lot 5, located east of the Herbert and Nicole Wertheim Performing Arts Center, at the owner's expense.
 
The far west side of Lot 7 will remain open only to faculty, staff and students attending class in the art studio.
 
Parking
All garages, as well as Lot 5, are available for general parking.
We encourage you to park in the Blue Garage, Panther Garage, or Lot 5. However, please note that tailgating is not permitted in these areas.

Street Closures
The following streets will be closed to traffic beginning at 3 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 1:

• - Southwest 17^th Street, which runs in front of the Herbert and Nicole Wertheim Performing Arts Center (WPAC), between the WPAC and the Baseball Stadium.
• - East Campus Circle/Southwest 113^th Avenue between Lot 8 (north of Parkview Hall) and FIU Stadium.
