MIAMI (March 5, 2014) – The FIU women's tennis team (2-3) travels to the "Golden State" for a two-game road swing beginning March 6 at Cal State Northridge (4-2). First serve is set for 5:00 p.m. ET.
Following the Panthers' Thursday match versus the Matadors, FIU will travel to Los Angeles, Calif., to face the Loyola Marymount Lions (6-6) on Saturday, March 8. Start time is slated for 4:00 p.m. ET.
FIU is coming off a 5-2 loss to the 56th-ranked Boston College Eagles on Tuesday, March 4. The Panthers are led by senior
Giulietta Boha, who enters Thursday's match with a 15-2 singles record (5-0 duals), having won 10-straight. Sophomore
Carlotta Orlando is coming off her first singles win of the season and owns a 9-7 singles mark this season (1-4 duals). Freshmen
Nina Nagode and
Tina Mohorcic have registered 7-5 record in doubles play and are 2-3 on the No. 1 position for the Panthers.
