Glenn Coleman and
Justin Halley will take part in the 2015 Medal of Honor Bowl on Saturday, Jan. 10, at Johnson Hagood Stadium on the campus of The Citadel in Charleston, S.C. Kickoff is slated for 2:30 pm ET and will be televised nationally on the NBC Sports Network.
The game features many top draft eligible players from around the nation featuring the American Team versus the National Team. It honors Medal of Honor recipients as well as the game's beneficiaries, the Medal of Honor Museum Foundation, disabled veterans and The Wounded Warrior Project.
Both Coleman and Halley will suit up for the American squad.
Coleman appeared in 12 games for the Panthers this past season, leading all wide receivers with 468 yards on 23 catches. The New Orleans, La., native registered three touchdowns, including an 85-yard reception at UAB (Sept. 27) – the second-longest catch in school history. For his career, Coleman has appeared in 42 games for FIU with 51 receptions for 831 yards and six touchdowns.
Halley closed out the 2014 season with 45 tackles (34 solo) and three pass breakup in 11 games. The Boca Raton, Fla., native finished his FIU career with 157 tackles, seven interceptions (No. 5 all-time at FIU) and 21 pass breakups (No. 2 all-time at FIU). Having appeared in 43 games for the Panthers, Halley has the fourth-longest fumble recovery return in school history (62 yards at Troy on Oct. 20, 2012).
Also taking part in this year's game is FIU Assistant Coach
Cameron Turner, who will serve as the American Team's offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach.
