MIAMI (December 1, 2017) – FIU sophomore offensive guard Dallas Connell has been recognized by Conference USA for his academic achievements, being named to the C-USA InTouch Credit Union All-Academic Team, the league announced on Friday.

Connell, who boasts a 3.69 GPA in Health Service Administration, has started all 11 games for the Panthers at right guard. He's played a team-high 694 snaps on the offensive line while allowing just one sack. He's helped an offensive line that has produced 4,169 yards of total offense which includes 1,602 yards on the ground and 2,567 through the air. FIU's offense ranks second nationally in red-zone offense having converted 32-of-33 chances (97%).

Connell was also a two-time FIU Dean's List selection and a 2016 C-USA Commissioner's Academic Honor Roll selection.
