MIAMI – FIU heads across Alligator Alley for the first game of a two-game road stretch, when the Panthers travel to Ft. Myers to face Florida Gulf Coast on Wednesday, Nov. 28, at 7:30 p.m. The game can be seen live on ESPN+ with David Moulton and Mike Gillian calling the action.
FIU looks to improve to 7-1 to start the season which would mark the best start in school history. The Panthers' current 6-1 record is tied for the best seven-game start joining the 1983-84 squad that also started the year 6-1.

- FGCU comes into its contest with FIU with a 2-6 record following an 85-68 loss to Florida Atlantic on Nov. 25, in Boca Raton ... The setback is the fourth-straight for the Eagles - and second-consecutive to a Conference USA foe - which includes a 76-65 loss to UTSA on Nov. 21.
- Haanif Cheatham leads the Eagles in scoring on the year, averaging 14.5 points-per-game, while Christian Carlysle is second, netting 11.9 points-per-outing, and Schadrac Casmir is third, averaging 11.3 points-per-game ... Troy Baxter, Jr. rounds out the double-figure scorers, averaging 10.0 points-per-night.
THE SERIES AGAINST THE EAGLES
- Wednesday's game between FIU and FGCU will be the 11th meeting all-time in the season series ... FGCU is officially credited with leading the series, 5-3, however the actual on court record is tied at 5-5 ... FIU had two wins vacated - from the 2002-03 season and the 2003-04 season - due to NCAA sanctions.

DROPPIN' SOME' C-NOTES
- FIU's 117 points against Johnson & Wales marked the second-straight game that the Panthers reached the century mark … The Panthers scored 110 points in the season-opening 110-84 win over Webber International on Nov. 7 … Prior to this season, the last time that an FIU team reached the 100-point mark in regulation was on Feb. 26, 1998, pouring in 101 points against Centenary in a 101-74 win in the TAAC Tournament ... That was the second of two-straight games where the Panthers scored 100-or-more points ... FIU also did it five days before in a 117-79 win over Troy on Feb. 21, 1998.
- FIU logged its third 100-plus-point game when it scored 102 points in a 102-93 win over Youngstown State on Nov. 18, and accomplished the feat against Ave Maria on Nov. 23, in a 104-84 win.
- The Panthers' four 100-point games are the third most in a season in school history ... The most 100-point outings in a season for FIU came during the 1997-98 campaign with seven, followed by five during the 1982-83 season.
