MIAMI (Sept. 23, 2019) – In this FIU Athletics weekly recap, the FIU men's soccer team posted another big outing as the ranked Panthers stayed undefeated. 

Below is a brief recap of how each FIU team performed this past week. 

Men's Soccer
The FIU men's soccer team remained unbeaten as the Panthers earned a draw with North Florida before earning a 5-0 win over Old Dominion. Caleb Franke led the Panthers after earning a hat trick with three goals against the Monarchs. FIU stays at home this Tuesday with a match against Stetson at 7 p.m., before traveling the UAB on Saturday. 

Volleyball
FIU volleyball went 2-1 this weekend, as the Panthers downed Binghamton and Morgan State before falling to host Georgetown in the Hoya Invitational. FIU sits at 7-3 overall as the Panthers begin C-USA play this weekend with a trip to Florida Atlantic and Marshall. FIU finally returns home on Oct. 6 as the Panthers host FAU in its return trip to Miami. 

Football
James Morgan threw for a career best 394 yards against Louisiana Tech, but the Panthers couldn't overcome the Bulldogs on the road. FIU is on a bye week this Saturday, before returning home on Saturday, Oct. 5 as they host UMass at 7:00 p.m. ET.

Women's Soccer
The women's soccer team lost its conference opener on the road, as the Panther fell to UTEP 3-1. FIU returns home this Thursday to host Charlotte at 7 p.m., before welcoming Marshall to Miami on Sunday at 1 p.m.
