MIAMI — FIU's athletic programs continue to set a new bar in the classroom as the department announced a record-setting 3.5 cumulative Grade Point Average (GPA) for the 2024-25 Academic Year on Friday afternoon.
For the first time ever, all 16 programs posted a year-long cumulative GPA over a 3.0. Additionally, 11 of those teams posted overall GPAs of above 3.5.
The men's soccer program had the highest GPA for the 2024-25 academic year with a 3.672. On the women's side, the women's tennis program had the highest GPA of any female program with a 3.67.
As a department, the Panthers have now racked up 21 straight semesters with an overall GPA of 3.0 or better.
The Athletic Department also had 70+ graduates for 2024-25.
