ST. PETERSBURG, Florida - James Morgan has created a lot of buzz at week's East-West Shrine Game practices, with the Panther quarterback set to shine on the NFL Network this Saturday at 3 p.m. ET.

Fellow Panther Stantley Thomas-Oliver III will join Morgan at the East-West Shrine Game as well on Saturday, with the cornerback fresh off of an appearance at the Tropical Bowl last weekend.

Morgan, Thomas-Oliver, Anthony Jones, Napoleon Maxwell, Austin Maloney, Sage Lewis, Isaiah Brown and Teair Tart all earned bids for college all-star games in 2020. Lewis was awarded MVP of the Tropical Bowl after his double-digit tackle performance.

Morgan led the Panthers to back-to-back bowl games, throwing for 40 career touchdowns at FIU to rank third all-time for the program. Morgan racked up over 5,000 career passing yards at FIU in just two seasons to also rank third, while his 143.4 passer rating with the Panthers set a new school record.

Below is a collection of buzz surrounding the former Panther QB.

After going to a school-record third-straight bowl game last year, the Panthers will seek to continue that winning tradition in 2020 as Butch Davis and the Panthers open the season at home on Thursday, Sept. 3 against Jacksonville State. For the full schedule release, click here.
