LAST TIME OUT
The Panther squad held JSU without a field goal during the final 5:15 of the contest when FIU earned the 74-70 win on Friday night. Overall, the Panthers finished the night shooting 41.9% from the field but 27.3% from three. Individually,
Antonio Daye, Jr. led all players with a career-best 28 points.
Radshad Davis posted his first double-double as a Panther when he logged 10 points and 10 rebounds.
BY THE NUMBERS
FIU enters the game ranked second in the country with 12.8 three-pointers per game. The team is also ninth with 156 threes taken this season and 15th nationally with 51 threes made. Individually, Daye, Jr. sits 22nd in the country and second in Conference USA with 12 total steals. The junior is also 22nd in the NCAA and third in C-USA with 3.00 steals per contest.
Dimon Carrigan sits eighth nationally and third in the league with 3.00 blocks per game. The forwards nine total blocks is good for 28th in the country and third in C-USA.
The 4-0 mark this season is the best start for FIU under head coach
Jeremy Ballard. The last time the Panther program reached such a feat was during the 2002-03 campaign.
SCOUTING THE LIONS
Florida Memorial boasts a 2-5 overall record and a 2-2 conference mark during their third season under head coach Ansar Al-Ameen. As a team, the Lions average 68.6 points per game while shooting 42.4% from the floor. Sam Mack Jr. leads FMU with 13.8 points per game. Mubashar Ali comes in with 10.1 points per game and a squad-best 10 blocked shots this season.
