Beard Jr.'s Run at the 2019 Dos Equis 3X3U National Championship to Re-Air This Weekend

Fans can rewatch Brian Beard Jr. and the Conference USA squad compete at last year's event.

MIAMI (April 22, 2020) – The 2019 Dos Equis 3X3U National Championship is set to re-air via Twitter this weekend. FIU men's basketball alumni Brian Beard Jr. participated as a part of the Conference USA squad in the event at the Mall of America following the Panthers' 2018-19 campaign.

Fans can watch the entire rebroadcasting of the Dos Equis 3X3U National Championship via Twitter at @3X3UHoops. Friday and Saturday's broadcasts feature 48 pool-play games, and knockout games are to be aired on Sunday. Friday's show of the first 24 pool play games begins at 11 a.m. ET, while Saturday's stream of the remaining 24 pool play games starts at 3 p.m. ET. Sunday's broadcast begins at 1 p.m. ET and includes Round of 16, quarterfinal, semifinal, third-place and championship contests.

Beard, Jr. helped FIU to one of its most successful seasons in program history in 2018-19. As a senior, he led the Panthers in scoring (17.3 ppg), assists (6.0 apg) and steals-per-game (2.9 spg), while also finishing the season first in C-USA  and 21st in the nation in assists-per-game, and tops in the league and second in the country in steals-per-outing. During his final season in the Blue and Gold, FIU advanced to the Collegeinsider.com Tournament, it's second-ever postseason tournament and first since facing UCLA in the 1994-95 NCAA Tournament.
