FIU posted a 19-13 overall record during the team's second season under head coach
Jeremy Ballard. The Panthers finished with a 9-9 league record, earning the fifth seed, the program's highest-ever seeding for the Conference USA Tournament. During FIU's final contest this year, the Panthers took down Rice 85-76 for the program's second-ever win at the C-USA Tournament.
