MIAMI (Jan. 5, 2021) - The Phil Steele Magazine announced its 2020 All-Conference USA Team on Monday, with six Panthers earning spots from FIU football.

FIU's Lexington Joseph and Tommy Heatherly earned second-team selections to lead the way for the Panthers, while D'vonte Price, Davon Strickland, Rishard Dames and Tommy Zozus all collected third-team distinctions. 

Joseph earned his spot on the list after returning FIU's opening kickoff 100 yards for a touchdown, adding to his 33.5 yards per return average he accumulated on the year. Tommy Heatherly averaged 44.4 yards per punt this season, leading to the Panther being named a semifinalist for the Ray Guy Award last season. Heatherly was the only non-Power 5 punter to earn a spot on the list. 

Price, the league-leader in rush yards per carry, headlined FIU's third-team honorees. Price also ranked 11th in the nation for rush yards per game this past season, after averaging 116.2 yards per contest. Strickland, Dames and Zozus also earned third-team distinctions, on the heels of earning honorable mention honors from the conference office last month to add to their successful 2020 campaigns.
