MIAMI (April 28, 2021) - The FIU track and field team is set for their final regular-season meet, traveling to Jacksonville to compete in the UNF Invite Thursday and Friday.

Fans will be allowed at the UNF Invite. Masks and social distancing will be required, and tickets will become available one hour before the event. Attendance is limited to 2500 spectators per day
FIU is coming off the UCF Knights Invite a week ago, where Queshun Watson-Riggins earned a victory in the long jump. Elsewhere, the Panthers saw a number of notable performances throughout the weekend. Sophomore Desmond Doreceus placed second in shotput and sixth in the discus with a personal best of 47.60m, good for fourth all-time in FIU outdoor history. Dorceus is already second on the FIU outdoor list in the shotput.
Leonarda Farkas continued her strong showings in the 1500, running a personal best of 4:37.32 to place second. Farkas carries the third-fastest outdoor 1500 time in FIU history. The Panthers placed three runners in the top seven of the event, with
Andrea Loizidou and Maria Paula-Guerrero coming in sixth and seventh, respectively.
The Conference USA Championships will take place May 13-16 in Murfreesboro, Tennessee.
