MIAMI (May 26, 2021) - The FIU women's tennis team finished 38th overall in final Oracle/ITA Collegiate Tennis Rankings of the 2021 season. The ITA administers college tennis rankings based off the 312 teams across Division I women's tennis. 

The Panthers got off to the best start in program history since 1994, as FIU finished the year at 12-2 overall. The Panthers won three matches at the C-USA Championship as well, including a 4-2 upset of No. 37 Rice. The year culminated with the Panthers earning an NCAA Tournament berth, as FIU closed out the season against the Miami Hurricanes in the opening round. 

The 38th overall ranking is the highest for FIU since the team finished 33rd in the nation in 2018.
