BIRMINGHAM, ALA (January 13, 2022) - The FIU track and field program will open up the 2022 indoor campaign at the UAB Blazer and Vulcan Invitationals, taking place Friday and Saturday at the Birmingham Crossplex. 

Field events will begin at 10 am CT, while running events will kick off at noon with the 60m. 

"The team has been working hard all throughout the offseason, and we're excited to get back on the track," said head coach Ryan Heberling. "This is a great opening weekend with talented competition from across the region to compete against and see where we are at."

The Blazer Invite is the first of six regular season meets the Panthers will compete in during the 2022 indoor season.
