MIAMI, Fla. – Due to weather conditions,
FIU has postponed its annual FIU Hoopla Fan-Fest event to next Wednesday, Oct. 26, at the FIU Modesto A. Maidique Campus Recreation Center outdoor basketball courts. The event, which begins at 5:30 p.m. and runs until 7 p.m., is free and open to all students and Panthers fans of all ages.

Jeremy Ballard and third-year head women's basketball coach
Jesyka Burks-Wiley introduce this year's basketball teams and give a quick outlook on the 2022-23 campaign, while both teams and the fans will be allowed to participate in 3-point and skills contests during the event, in addition to a dunk contest amongst the men's squad.
Additional highlights include appearances by the FIU cheerleaders, Dazzlers, and Roary, along with music and fan giveaways.
The men's basketball season begins on Monday, Nov. 7, against Houston Christian at the Ocean Bank Convocation Center. The women's team opens the season two days later Wednesday, Nov. 9, hosting North Carolina Central at Ocean Bank Convocation Center .
