MIAMI – FIU women's tennis senior
Kamila Umarova was selected to the six-member 2022 Conference USA Women's Tennis All-Academic Team, which was announced by league officials on Thursday.
Umarova is a back-to-back Conference USA All-Academic choice after previously earning the honor last season.
Umarova is an accounting major and boasts a 3.83 overall grade point average. She is both a three-time C-USA Honor Roll honoree and Commissioner Academic honoree.
On the court, she has recorded an unblemished 15-0 mark at No. 2 singles. In doubles action, she has paired up this season with teammate
Andjela Skrobonja to post a 13-4 mark in the number one doubles position – one season after the same pair were selected as the doubles pair of the 2021 Conference USA Championship.
She is a two-time All-Conference USA First Team Doubles selection in 2019 and 2021 and was a second-team honoree in 2020. On the singles side, she was recognized with first team Conference USA status in both 2020 and 2021
Umarova has won over 80 percent of the singles matches and nearly 70 percent of the doubles matches in her career.
