HUNTSVILLE, Alabama (April 28, 2022) – The No. 13 FIU Beach Volleyball team opened the 2022 Conference USA Beach Volleyball Championship with duels against ULM and No. 15 Georgia State on Thursday. The Panthers caged the Warhawks 5-0 but fell 4-1 to the Panthers.

Newly anointed All-Americans, Paige Kalkhoff and Giada Bianchi were the only Panther pairing to go undefeated on the day, dominating ULM 21-13, 21-10 before prevailing 17-21, 21-18 and 17-15 over GSU on court one. 

Emily Meyer and Zuzanna Bielak won on court three 21-13, 21-17 over Georgia State while the FIU pairing of Kendall Mather and Lisa Luini controlled court four 21-8, 21-13.
