2023 FOOTBALL SCHEDULE
MIAMI – The FIU football team will kick off the 2023 season with a Week Zero showdown at Conference USA foe Louisiana Tech in Ruston on Saturday, August 26 as part of the 12-game 2023 schedule, which was announced by conference officials on Tuesday afternoon.
The Panthers' 2023 slate also features a stretch of five straight games that will be played on weeknights as part of the new Conference USA multimedia rights deal, beginning on Thursday, Sept. 28 vs. Liberty in Miami and concluding on Wednesday, Oct. 25 vs. Jacksonville State.
C-USA membership approved a linear television-friendly scheduling format for football that sees all October league matchups played on midweek evenings. The broadcast partners will share C-USA's October weeknight football games on linear television across CBS Sports Network, ESPN, ESPN2 or ESPNU.
Other weeknight matchups include games at New Mexico State (Thursday/Oct. 5), vs. UTEP (Wednesday/Oct. 11), at Sam Houston State (Wednesday/Oct. 18) and vs. Jacksonville State (Wednesday/Oct. 25).
The final two conference games will see the Panthers trek to Middle Tennessee (Saturday/Nov. 11) and host Western Kentucky in the regular-season finale in Miami on Saturday, Nov. 25.
FIU will open the home and non-conference portion of the 2023 campaign on Saturday, Sept. 2 vs. Maine at FIU Stadium before following with a second consecutive home contest against North Texas on Saturday, Sept. 9.
The Panthers will travel to face Connecticut in East Hartford on Saturday, Sept. 16 and Arkansas in Fayetteville on Saturday, Nov. 18 in their final two non-league games.
The 2023 schedule also features a pair of bye weeks, which will see the Panthers idle during Week Four (Sept. 23) and Week 10 (Nov. 4).
Please note that all games are subject to date changes and some dates may move in the future in order to accommodate national television selections. A schedule of televised games will be released at a later date.
