DENTON, Texas (May 11, 2023) - FIU's run at the 2023 Conference USA Outdoor Championships is underway, with action in the multis kicking off competition on Thursday. 

After four events in the heptathlon, Fabiola Declet stands in fifth place, with Maika Cuenca close behind in seventh. Declet finished day one with a victory in the 200, running 24.97. 

In the decathlon, senior Jason Rotger is in eighth, with a fourth place mark in the shot put highlighting Thursday's proceedings.

Friday kicks off with the first field event of the meet, men's hammer, at 1 p.m. CT, with the women's starting at 3 p.m. The multi-events also conclude, and the first running event, the women's 10,000 meter, starts at 8 p.m. The men's 10k will begin at 9 p.m. 

Field events resume Saturday with the men's discus at 1 p.m. CT. Running prelims begin with the women's 1,500 meter at 5:30 p.m. The day concludes with the men's and women's 3,000-meter steeplechase, with the women starting at 9 p.m.

Sunday's final day of action begins at 1 p.m. with the women's shot put. The running finals will start at 6 p.m. with the men's 4x100m relay. An awards ceremony will follow the conclusion of the 4x400m relay.
