MIAMI – FIU student-athletes at FIU excelled in the classroom once again during the most recent Spring Semester, as the athletic department posted a 3.31 GPA during the academic cycle.
 
FIU student-athletes have now posted 17-straight semesters with a department GPA of 3.0 or better.
 
FIU had 14 sport programs post above a 3.0 GPA, while 10 programs exceeded an impressive overall team 3.5 GPA.
 
The women's swimming and diving program posted the highest GPA on campus, earning a 3.73 for the spring.
 
The men's cross country squad earned a 3.54 to post the highest male GPA on campus.
 
Overall, 40 student-athletes earned a perfect 4.0 for the 2023 Spring term, while 176 were named to the Dean's List.
 
In addition to the GPA results, FIU had 72 student-athletes earn their bachelor's degree this May..
