MIAMI – FIU student-athletes once again excelled in the classroom posting an NCAA Graduation Success Rate (GSR) of 89 percent for the 2017-18 entering cohort, the NCAA announced on Wednesday.
The NCAA released its most recent GSR scores, with the total being a measurement of the past four years.
The FIU women's golf (100), softball (100) and women's swimming & diving programs (100) each posted perfect scores in the latest NCAA GSR Report.
Additionally, a total of seven programs at FIU improved or maintained its GSR scores from last year's release.
The GSR is an NCAA measurement that does not penalize schools for transfer student-athletes that leave eligible. The GSR data released is based on four classes of scholarship student-athletes.
The GSR allows for a six-year window in which the student-athlete can earn his or her degree. A perfect score indicates all eligible student-athletes earned a degree at FIU within the six-year window.
