MIAMI – The FIU football program will travel to face Penn State in a non-conference matchup during the 2025 season, it was officially announced on Tuesday.
 
The Panthers and Nittany Lions are scheduled to play on Saturday, Sept. 6, 2025 at Beaver Stadium in University Park, Pa., which seats 106,572 and ranks as the second-largest stadium in college football.
 
The two programs will be meeting for the second time in their history – having previously played on Sept. 1, 2007, also in University Park.
 
The Panthers have played a total of six previous games against members of the Big Ten Conference, including contests against Iowa (2008), Indiana (2015, 2016, 2018), Maryland (2016) and Penn State (2007).  FIU is also slated to face Indiana in the 2024 season opener on Saturday, August 31 in Bloomington, Ind.
 
FIU's 2025 non-conference slate now includes games at Penn State (Sept. 6), vs. Florida Atlantic (Sept. 13) and at UConn (Oct. 4).

UP NEXT
The Panthers will hold a spring practice session at Charles Hadley Park in Miami on Saturday, March 30 beginning at 9 a.m. ET.  Media and fans are encouraged to attend.
