MIAMI – The FIU football team wrapped up the spring practice season with its annual Spring Showcase at FIU Stadium on Saturday evening before an enthusiastic crowd of Panther fans.
The squad opened the Showcase with individual and group position drills before capping things off with a Blue vs. White intersquad scrimmage that lasted two 15-minute quarters and a pair of 10-minute quarters.
The Blue Team edged the White Team in the scrimmage 12-10 – with the two teams exchanging field goals before wide receiver
Dean Patterson hauled in a 10-yard scoring pass from sophomore quarterback

Haden Carlson hit
T.J. Snowden from about 20 yards out for the second touchdown of the evening. The team closed out the action with goal line scenarios to break the tie - which saw Snowden snag his second touchdown catch of the session.
The day also featured a number of fan friendly activities including Roary's Kids Zone, food trucks, interactive opportunities for fans to take part in the action as guest play callers, special contests and more.
The Panthers will open the 2024 campaign on Saturday, August 31 when they travel to face Big Ten member Indiana in Bloomington.
