MIAMI – For the 19th consecutive semester FIU student-athletes excelled in the classroom during the most recent Spring Semester, posting a combined overall grade point average of 3.31.
FIU had 14 sport programs post above a 3.0 GPA, while seven programs surpassed an impressive overall team 3.5 GPA.
The women's tennis program posted the highest GPA on campus, earning a 3.78 for the spring academic period.
The men's soccer squad earned a 3.66 to register the highest male GPA on campus. Football recorded a 3.10 combined GPA – which marked the best total in program history.

In addition, a total of 51 student-athletes graduated this May following the spring semester.
In addition to the GPA results, FIU had 167 student-athletes earn mention to the Dean's List.
