MIAMI — Ekaterina Khairutdinova of No. 25 FIU women's tennis was named Conference USA's (CUSA) Athlete of the Week, as announced on Wednesday afternoon.

Khairutdinova won her second-straight CUSA Athlete of the Week award in singles following two victories at No. 1 singles over No. 19 Florida and Miami at the ITA Kick-Off. 

The junior from Krasnodar, Russia remains undefeated in the 2025 dual season, sporting a 3-0 record in the top singles slot. 'Katya' dropped her opponent from No. 19 Florida, 6-2, 6-0, in the opening round of the ITA Kick-Off. 

She followed that with a 6-3, 6-1 win over her opponent on Sunday to close out the ITA's featured event, 2-0. Khairutdinova has only dropped one set in three matches this season as the Panthers' No. 1 player.
