MIAMI — FIU football's Chad Staley earned Offensive Lineman of the Week honors from Conference USA (CUSA), as announced by the league office on Monday afternoon. 

Staley made history for the Panthers with a one-yard touchdown catch in the third quarter, becoming the first-ever FIU Offensive Lineman to catch a TD pass. He also played an integral part as the Panther rushing attack gained 202 yards on the ground in a 27-21 win over CUSA-leading Jax State on Saturday, securing bowl eligibility for FIU for the first time since 2019. 

Staley is the second Offensive Lineman this season to win CUSA Offensive Lineman of the Week, joining teammate Julius Pierce, who earned the same honor on Oct. 20, 2025.
