Football to Host Final 2025 Edition of Willie Simmons Coach’s Show at Twin Peaks Doral Monday Night

The show, airing on fiusports.com, will begin promptly at 6 p.m. ET and feature Coach Simmons, WR Alex Perry and DB Shamir Sterlin

MIAMI — FIU football will host the final 2025 edition of the Willie Simmons Coach's Show on the evening of December 15 at Twin Peaks Doral. 

The show, of which will also air on fiusports.com, is slated to begin at 6 p.m. and will feature Coach Simmons, WR Alex Perry and DB Shamir Sterlin. All will sit down with host Corey Brooks and discuss a variety of topics surrounding FIU Football including a recap of its successful first season under Simmons and its upcoming First Responder Bowl game with UTSA. The Panthers take on the Roadrunners at 8 p.m. ET / 7 p.m. CT (local time) on Friday, Dec. 26 in their first bowl game appearance since 2019. The bowl game will be aired live on ESPN and will be a standalone matchup. 

As part of the partnership, Twin Peaks will be extending its Happy Hour deals to 7 p.m. on the days of the show, which includes:

  • $1.50 Off Signature Tap List
  • $5.55 Select Appetizers
  • $1.50 Off Wine by the Glass
  • $3.50 Shots
  • $6 Featured Cocktails

During the event, promotional ticket giveaways will also be done for those in attendance. The show will of course lead into the NFL's Monday Night Football, of which Twin Peaks Doral will have its traditional deals, which are as follows:

  • $3.50 Shots
  • $5 Coors 22 oz. Drafts
  • $6 Heineken 22 oz. Drafts
  • $8 Caribbean Lemonade
Twin Peaks Doral will also be hosting a watch party on Dec. 26 for the First Responder Bowl. More information and details on that event will be distributed at a later date. 

BOWL BOUND
Led by first-year head coach Willie Simmons and our talented student-athletes, coaches and staff, the Panthers are set to represent FIU on a national stage in Dallas, Texas on Dec. 26 in the First Responder Bowl. FIU will take on UTSA at 8 p.m. ET at Gerald J. Ford Stadium, of which the game will air as a standalone matchup on ESPN.
