MIAMI – The FIU football program added a total of 12 student-athletes on NCAA National Signing Day on Wednesday.
The Panthers' class includes a total of 12 incoming freshmen.
FIU has signed a total of six new players on the offensive side of the ball, including four offensive linemen, a wide receiver and a quarterback.
Defensively, the Panthers also inked a total of six student-athletes, including three defensive linemen, two defensive backs and a linebacker.
Eleven of the 12 newcomers hail from the state of Florida, with one signee from Georgia.

Prep: A physical defensive lineman out of powerhouse program Chaminade Madonna High School in Hollywood, Fla…a solid run stuffer he amassed 15 tackles for loss as part of a total of 67 stops during his senior season…recorded one sack…also recovered two fumbles and caused one…as a junior he recorded 15.5 TFLs and 59 overall stops along with four sacks…totaled 126 tackles, 30.5 TFLs and five sacks over final two prep seasons.

Prep: Was a three-year starter at Raines High School in Jacksonville as a versatile edge defender…totaled 16.5 sacks and 40.5 tackles for loss over three prep seasons…helped lead Raines to a 13-1 overall record and an appearance in the Florida State Championship Game as a senior…tabbed 23.0 TFLs and seven sacks as a senior along with 66 total stops…also forced five fumbles and recovered five…added 15.5 TFLs and 6.5 sacks during junior campaign and 69 tackles…started a total of 32 games during high school career.
