MIAMI — FIU's football program will have a total of six nationally-broadcasted games on its 2025 schedule, as announced in conjunction with the Conference USA broadcast schedule on Thursday afternoon.
The Panthers are set for their 2025 campaign under new head coach Willie Simmons with several marquee matchups on the slate. FIU's television schedule features six nationally-aired games, three on CBS Sports Network (CBSSN), two on ESPNU and its Sept. 6 matchup at Penn State on Big Ten Network (BTN). The six nationally-selected games match a record for the program from the 2023 season.
The Panthers' multiple games on ESPNU will be the first time since 2020 that FIU has had two games featured on ESPN's main collegiate programming network. FIU's face-off with PSU will be the second-straight season that the Panthers have been featured on Big Ten Network, following their meeting with Indiana to open the 2024 season.
FIU will open its season and the Willie Simmons era with a home contest at 7 p.m. on Aug. 29 inside Pitbull Stadium vs. Bethune-Cookman on ESPN+. The Panthers will then hit the road for the first time, meeting the Nittany Lions for a noon kick-off on BTN in Happy Valley on Sept. 6.
FIU returns to 'the 305' for Week 3 to take on rival-Florida Atlantic on Sept. 13 at 6 p.m. under the lights on ESPN+. The Panthers continue their home stand with their Conference USA (CUSA) opener in Week 4 against new-member Delaware at 6 p.m. on Sept. 20 on ESPN platforms.
October begins a stretch of four-straight nationally-televised games for FIU, starting with a matchup at UConn on Oct. 4. The Panthers and Huskies will kick-off at 3:30 p.m. on CBSSN for FIU's final non-conference matchup of the 2025 season.
FIU then has back-to-back weeks on ESPNU, taking on WKU on the road on Oct. 14 at 8 p.m. before a home tilt with Kennesaw State at 7 p.m. on Oct. 21. Week 8 will feature the FIU's first-ever meeting with newcomer Missouri State as the Panthers take on the Bears on CBSSN in Springfield, Mo. on Oct. 29 at 8 p.m.
November opens with a 3 p.m. matchup with Middle Tennessee on the road on Nov. 8 on ESPN platforms. FIU's Week 10 homecoming meeting on Nov. 15 with Liberty at 5 p.m. will also be aired on ESPN platforms.
The Panthers then have their final announced national TV game of the regular season in their home finale, hosting Jacksonville State on Nov. 22 at 3:30 p.m. on CBSSN. FIU's final regular season game will be on Nov. 29 at Sam Houston at 1 p.m., of which will be aired on ESPN Platforms.
FIU's complete schedule of game times and television networks were announced on Thursday afternoon following the release of Conference USA's broadcast schedule.
The 2025 season also includes a return to the successful Weekday CUSA model, during the month of October, with CBS Sports Network carrying 10 games and ESPN carrying eight this season during that timeframe on ESPN2 and ESPNU.
For all games designated as ESPN Platforms, they are subject to the 12-day selection window and all kick times are subject to change based upon television placement. Additional Conference USA football broadcast exposures will be released as soon as they are finalized.
The 2025 CUSA Championship game on Friday, Dec. 5, will air on CBS Sports Network and kick off at 6 p.m. CT.
