Trio of Swimmers Set to Compete at World Aquatics Championships in Singapore

Competition begins Sunday, July 27

MIAMI – FIU swimmers Oumy Diop, Nicole Frank, and Imara-Bella Thorpe will proudly represent their countries the next two weeks at the World Aquatics Swimming Championships (SCM) in Singapore.
 
Diop, representing Senegal and a 2024 Paris Olympian, is set to compete in the 50m backstroke on Tuesday, July 29, at 10 p.m. ET . She will also take part in the 100m butterfly  on Thursday July 31, at 10 p.m. ET.
 
Frank, hailing from Uruguay and a two-time Olympian, will swim in the 200m individual medley (IM) on Saturday, July 26 at 10 p.m. ET. She will also race in the 100 Breast on Sunday, July 27, at 10 p.m. ET.


 
Thorpe, a native of Nairobi, Kenya, will compete in the Mixed 4x100M Medley Relay on Tuesday, July 29 at 10 p.m. ET. The graduate student will also race in the Mixed 4xt100m Freestyle on Friday, Aug. 1 at 10 p.m. ET.
